The Indian Bay Memorial University Community Hub is one of several located in rural areas across the island and in Labrador. These Hubs are community spaces where people can access the Internet, technology, and a place to work, study, or collaborate. By working with partners (community groups, provincial organizations, governments, educational institutions, etc.) that already operate buildings in communities, the Community Hubs program is able to provide financial support for technology, Internet access, other equipment, and/or programming support to increase access and opportunity within existing spaces.
The main objective of the Indian Bay Memorial University Community Hub is to provide access to Internet connectivity, give people a place to learn, facilitate community-university relationships, meetings, workshops, co-working, community gatherings, a learning space for in-person and virtual learning, and more!
We are excited for this new opportunity here at Indian Bay Ecosystem Corporation (IBEC) and look forward to creating and nurturing networking relationships that benefit the Indian Bay Memorial University Community Hub and its Partners.
