Jim’s Steady Restoration Project

The Jim’s Steady Restoration Project will restore approximately 180,000 square metres of spawning and rearing habitat for Atlantic salmon and trout. This two year project will include such activities as pool-riffle creation, channel narrowing, bank stabilization, removal of obstructions and the creation of in-stream cover along the approximately 5km brook between Big Bear Cave Pond and Little Bear Cave Pond, locally known as Jim’s Steady.
