The Jim’s Steady Restoration Project will restore approximately 180,000 square metres of spawning and rearing habitat for Atlantic salmon and trout. This two year project (2017-2018) included such activities as pool-riffle creation, channel narrowing, and pulp wood removal along the approximately 5km brook between Big Bear Cave Pond and Little Bear Cave Pond, locally known as Jim’s Steady.
